Mnem and the Memory House
A city where putting a memory away may not end its consequences.
An introduction
On Vethara, Mnem holds the Memory House and institutions devoted to records of experience. The Doctor’s return turns an old personal choice into a present responsibility. Fen, Sable and Callum help keep the story attached to the people doing that work.
Why this encounter matters
A surviving record is only part of the problem. The House’s disturbance asks what a deposit has allowed its maker to avoid, and what others have carried in the meantime. This makes the setting both an archive and a place of encounter.

Della’s testimony and the Doctor’s acknowledgement allow the central disturbance to resolve. The House comes to rest. Callum, however, is only beginning his own next step, and Sable still has a day’s work ahead. Recovery continues without becoming a single universal moment of completion.
