The opening situation
The Doctor brings his many selves into one consciousness at the Multiversal Confluence. A historian whose world is being erased draws him into a crisis of memory, identity and the fabric that holds realities together. This is the saga’s starting point: the Doctor has extraordinary experience, but must learn how to carry it as one person.
