What happened
The investigation of Vorath and a temporal fold brings the crew to Davan Orel. They remove a Silence suppressor and escape the first fold; Davan chooses to join them. The Rani’s paper makes Raven’s signature a matter of wider scrutiny, while Yara remains present through a limited relay.
Where the book leaves us
A second fold supplies comparative evidence rather than final answers. The travellers plan a return to the unfinished Vorath translation before another survey. The Master is preparing elsewhere and a watcher has work underway. The book ends with a shared itinerary and several open questions, not a resolution of the entire pattern.
